Dickerson Loves Him Some District 20

Please sign this absentee ballot before going under.
The newly released Senate maps alter the 20th and 21st districts pretty radically, so much so that 2010 State Senate wannabe, and anesthesiologist, Steve Dickerson, who put up nominal opposition to Sen. Henry in November last year, has been drawn into the 20th district and likes his chances at taking on Sen. Haynes or whomever the Democratic candidate may be.

“As we enter the new year our state and nation face economic uncertainty, high unemployment, and an increasing sense of distrust of government. I have made the decision to enter this race for state Senate to confront these challenges head on.”

“With my background as a practicing physician, as well as my experience as a small business owner I have a unique perspective to bring to the state Senate and I will use that to best represent the values of the 20th district.” Dickerson said.

Here's a refresher on the race last year.  Dickerson raised a good chunk of change before the GOP primary (some in a questionable manner) but GOP enthusiasm waned after Henry narrowly won his challenge from Jeff Yarbro, resulting in a 57-43 victory by Henry over Dickerson.

P.S. TEP's Chris Sanders does not seem to be a big fan.
