Skinheads Plotting To Go On Killing Spree?

It appears as if the ATF has broken up some sort of planned attack by Tennessee skinheads:

The ATF says it has broken up a plot to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate 102 black people in a Tennessee murder spree.

In court records unsealed Monday, agents said they disrupted plans to rob a gun store and target an unnamed by predominantly African-American high school by two neo-Nazi skinheads.

The part about wanting to assassinate Obama doesn't worry me, because skinheads are by nature too mentally incompetent to pull it off...but the accusation that they were going to go on a racist killing spree in Tennessee is very disconcerting.

Hopefully we'll have more details soon, but I do worry that the White Nationalist movement, which has maintained itself at the fringes of society, might take an Obama presidency as a signal to start matching their rhetoric with action.

im Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of the Nashville field office for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said the two men planned to shoot 88 black people and decapitate another 14. The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.

I know 88 corresponds to HH, or Heil Hitler, but I'm not sure about 14 [apparently, 14 words]. Regardless, it will be interesting to see more reporting on this, to find out if these were two drunk rednecks shooting off their mouth, or serious threats to our public safety.

Not Nashville, but rather West Tennessee.

Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn., and Paul Schlesselman, 18, of West Helena, Ark., who were arrested last Wednesday by the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office, vowed they would be willing to die during the attempt, federal documents say.
