Second Verse, Same As The First

Did you hear? Did you hear? John McCain is rebooting his campaign. He's going to have a bold new vision for the next three weeks that will show the pundits and pollsters who the boss is. You can read his bold, mavericky speech here. In short:

I'm John McCain, a former POW, who fought for this country and will fight for you because fighting is what I know best. I may suck at policy, which is why it changes every few days, but that doesn't matter, because I'm a fighter, and fighting is what I will do for you. So on November 4th, fight for me, and I'll fight for you, because a maverick fights, and I'm a maverick.

Update:

Halperin eats the shit up with this headline, "McCain Indicts Bush In Comeback Speech." The indictment? "We cannot spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight: waiting for our luck to change.” Oh, scandalous...admitting that the country thinks Bush has sucked is so mavericky. The comeback? From what? What is he coming back from...a couple of bad poll numbers? Just because the campaign labels this a "comeback speech," does not make it so, and the media shouldn't be pre-buying into that narrative.
