Yep, She's Qualified...
So, the headline story on Drudgereport is that Sarah Palin is not "being allowed" on Oprah Winfrey. Even though she hasn't asked, and Oprah hasn't offered, the very fact that its not scheduled yet indicates that Oprah is too biased...even though she hasn't had on Obama, McCain, or Biden since they announced their respective positions.
So, whats the big deal? Why should a serious contender for the President of the United States of America (or her supporters) be miffed that she isn't being asked on a day-time talk show that focuses on which kinds of ice cream flavors are best?
She's not being barred from Meet The Press, in fact, they are dying to get her on and the McCain camp is saying no way...that is where I suspect a serious candidate to be in line to run the country would want to appear on. But no, the McCain campaign (and this is obviously a bullshit story fed to drudge by Steve Schmidt) wants to try and drum up the idea of a media biased against her.
Seriously people, she is running to be next in line to a 72 year old cancer survivor...her first priority should not be going on the fucking Oprah Winfrey show.

Maybe she needs to try six talk shows and see if she can get the sixth one right. That's how many tries at college it seems to have taken her. While I went to two in five years, I have never heard of anyone going to six in six years. Unbelievable!!

What are you thinking?? You want her to go on political shows? With interviews about politics not her kids? Questions about policies and things that might actually matter to the American public?? OH NO, they can't have that!!! Let her go on Martha Stewart's show and bake an apple pie. Then we will know she is a TRUE patriot! UGH- they make me crazy!!!
You nailed it Sean: This is a made up non-story. Though Oprah had Barack on BEFORE he started his campaign and obviously supported him in other venues since, she explicitly said BEFORE the campaign season began that she would not have any candidate on her show. Everybody is buying this BS including Tom Brokaw who repeated the lie that Obama has campaigned on her show. The angle they are pushing with this crap is that Oprah is somehow elitist (vs. McPalin's small town whatever). Our media are spineless idiots.
