And The Most Liked Democrat Is...

...Jimmy Carter?

Ironically, while Republicans have been trying to tie Barack Obama to the legacy of Jimmy Carter, it appears that in the latest Rasmussen poll of 15 leading Democrats, the former President and head of Habitat for Humanity is the most popular with a 61-36 favorability rating, with the second highest rating by conservatives next to "Democrat" Joe Lieberman.

Hillary Clinton comes in with a 50% unfavorable rating, 47% favorable.

And John Edwards has not surprisingly taken a big hit with the highest unfavorable rating of any Democrat, with 62 percent.

So if Republicans want to make this a Jimmy Carter vs George W. Bush election; I'll be more than happy to see that election.

It really is too bad that the Democrats were so scared of Carter that they would not give him speaking time at their convention. How could one of two Democratic presidents and a Nobel prize winner not get a speaking role at the Democratic convention? It must be because they don't think much about white males in that party. Joe Biden is the only non-press white guy that was even on TV last night.

You mean, except for Ted Kennedy, Jim Leach, Tom Harkin, and a video tribute to Jimmy Carter?
