You're Not Doing Your Job

Apparently, the big bad media decided not to show up to some press conference with Carly Fiorina, the most consistently inaccurate surrogate for John McCain who thinks he holds positions he does not, and William H. Hobbs (the guy who is supposed to get media to press conferences) blames the reporters.

I'm sure it was a fascinating press conference, replete with boiler-plate Republican talking points about low taxes and how we can magically resolve all of our problems if we just eliminated earmarks.

Perhaps instead of useless press releases bashing Barack Obama's wife, he could focus on promoting events setup by his party.

Update:

More evidence of media bias...apparently Rep. Jim Cooper had a press conference and it was attended by 4 TV crews, 2 radio reporters, and 3 print outlets. Hrmm, maybe its sexism?

Update II:

You didn't miss much. Carly Fiorina thinks McCain is "right" on all the major issues...thankfully for the McCain campaign, she steered clear of enunciating what those policies are.

"You're Not Doing Your Job"

If you're posting at 2:14 P.M. on a Monday, there's a good chance that you aren't doing your job, either.

Cheers,

Rob

Rob,

If I were working on a factor assembly line, this might be true.

Dang, Rob's comment had the teeniest whiff of desperation...on par with nana nana boo boo.

You nailed this one, Sean. A big part of his job is to maintain relationships with the press, and fill these events with press and, um, oh yeah...supporters.

Only a Republican operative would have the hubris to blame the media for not showing up at his media event.

Why is everyone missing convicted felon Shirley Ward is on the board and was introduced in the first two minutes of this event as one of the advisers to the already ethically challenged Marsha Blackburn?

Just sayin...

PS--I got an email from a republican who sent me a link to the Covington Paper that said the charges against Ward were thrown out in June of 07.

I've gotta be fair...

That said, Blackburn has enough ethical questions, she's pushing it with someone like Ward or prior to her arrest, along with her son Jeff Ward, didn't care who they ran over and smeared as long as they got their way.
