Will Pelosi and Dean Block Hillary at Convention?
There are some out in the blogosphere who are concerned that Hillary's name won't be on the ballot during the roll call at the convention. Some are calling on Pelosi, Dean, and Obama to "let" her name be called.
Here is the thing, they can't stop her. In 2004, two names were called, John Kerry and Dennis Kucinich. The DNC can't and won't change the rules so that only Barack Obama's name can be thrown out there. But what the other candidates can do, is refuse the nomination by the convention delegates, release them from their pledge, and ask them to support the presumptive nominee.
This decision won't be Pelosi, Dean, or Obama's, it'll be Hillary Clinton's. However, they'll probably not talk much about the issue until the convention, to save the Super-delegates from being inundated with calls from the Insanocrat Deadenders who think Hillary still has a shot at the nomination.

But .. but ... but then that would mean Hillary Clinton isn't the poor, beleaguered, oppressed candidate who's been shut out of her rightful place in history by the evil Democratic Party and that uppity newcomer Barack Obama.
These are the same people who think the rules in Michigan and Florida were designed to hurt Hillary Clinton. Reason, logic, and historical accuracy has no place left in their minds which have been completely overcome with irrational hatred and fear. Its really sad.

If you'd like to point out a specific example, I'd be more than happy to attempt a logical and reasonable explanation for it.
The idea that Clinton should forego the honor previous losing candidates have long been entitled to — nomination and roll call — is preposterous, and it illustrates two great weaknesses on the part of Barack Obama's partisans: the general ignorance of history and party procedures on the neophytes' parts; the sheer veil covering whatever deals were cut that the DNCC, DNC and other power-brokers to support the candidacy of a nominee with so few achievements. It also illustrates their terror that he might not actually have it sown up, even with all the deal-making.
Apparently you didn't read the post. Obama can't, and won't, stop Hillary's name from being put up for nomination. If Hillary decides to forgo this, that is up to her and her delegates.

A Democrat insane enough to think that voting for McCain will somehow help Hillary Clinton.
I have no illusions that my voting for McCain will help Hillary, but it will keep the Pied Piper/False Prophet/Obamessiah out of the White House!
And on the issue of name calling. ALL politicians (including St. Barack) are fair game. And while this is your blog and my first time on it, I am underwhelmed that you would get into name calling on your own blog. Wow!!
