Americans Approve of Constitution

Gallup has commissioned a new poll which indicates that a good majority of Americans have taken a High School government class, and know that the President should get approval from the Congress before launching a war:

An overwhelming 79% majority of Americans believe the president should get the approval of Congress before sending U.S. armed forces into action outside the United States, and 70% believe congressional approval should be required before the president decides to bomb suspected terrorists.

The second question, about bombing suspected terrorists, is a bit unrealistic though. In that case, it might be wiser to have the Chair and Ranking Member of the various Senate and House committees involved in the decision making process. Not sure how effective it would be to broadcast a specific strategic attack to those we are attacking. But then you get into the problem of whether or not that attack would instigate a war with the host nation.
