Tim Russert Dies?
I can't fucking believe this, Tim Russert, host of Meet The Press and fan of the Buffalo Bills, died of a heart attack today, according to the NY Times. I was a really big fan...Sundays won't be the same.
What is someone ironic (and tragic about this) is that just a month ago Terry McAuliffe had to eat his words after he mistakenly said that Tim Russert's father, "Big Russ," was watching the election from heaven.

This is terrible news. Russert was easily my favorite political journalist. We lost an incredible talent.
Though I have very little good to say about his journalism (the Libby trial pulled back a lot of curatins . . . him holding OPbama to task for something Harry friggin Belafonte said still outrages me), there is nothing bad I can say about him as a fellow human.
This is a shame . . . tragic. Poor Big Russ and poor younger Russ - his son - who just raduated college it sounds like.
That video made me cry.
Tim was just a real guy who loved politics, but first, his family.
As old media journalists die off and give way to new media, we've lost a giant.
The thing I admired about him the most was that he realized there's more to life than sitting in Washington screaming and shouting on cable TV,radio and the blogosphere.
