Flippin' and Floppin'

Bob Tuke takes Lamar Alexander to task for flipping (in the right direction at least) on a measure to give veterans more benefits.

"It seems like no one can count on Lamar to say what he means. First he opposed legislation updating the G.I. Bill and denied providing today's veterans with the same sort of benefits provided to our World War II veterans. After a groundswell of protest by the veteran and military communities, Lamar changed his mind and voted for the legislation after voting against it. Veterans can always count on me to stand up for them - the first time, every time. After serving as a Marine in Vietnam, I received an education through the G.I. Bill, and I know the opportunities it can bring to our military men and women."

The motion in question passed with 77 members, Sen. Corker voted Nay.
