Define "Superdelegate"
Jonathan Martin, along with the everyone's favorite Crazy Libertarian Uncle, is saying that Fred Hobbs is a "super-delegate"; he is not.
Fred Hobbs is a member of the Tennessee Democratic Executive Committee. He was elected in 2006 from the 13th State Senate District, one of about 66 men and women from across the state, to represent his district on the committee.
He is not a pledged delegate, super-delegate, or alternate delegate to the DNC Convention.

Update:
Jonathan Martin corrects the record on the super-delegate business, but then adds:
The Tennessee GOP has indeed twice pushed the envelope on the Obama front, but it would seem that a political activist sophisticated enough to get elected to the state party's executive committee would know who Obama is beyond the cariacture some are happy to perpetuate.
OK, well, apparently Mr. Martin has never been introduced to some of our wonderful elected officials in the State Senate and State House; if he were, he'd realize that it is entirely plausible that someone as "sophisticated" as Mr. Hobbs could get elected to a lesser position (though he only won by about 1,000 votes out of 11K cast) like State Democratic Executive Committee.
