Women for Hillary
The President of the Tennessee Federation of Democratic Women, Vicky Harwell of Pulaski, endorsed Hillary Clinton.
Tennessee Automatic Delegate Vicky Harwell announced her support for Hillary Clinton today. Harwell, of Pulaski, is president of the Tennessee Federation of Democratic Women.
“Hillary’s decisive victory in West Virginia is the latest evidence that she is the strongest candidate to take on John McCain and win back the White House,” Harwell said. “Hillary has the plans, leadership and experience to deliver real results as President.
Setting aside the asinine nature of her reasoning, this isn't really a huge surprise, as she said she was leaning towards Hillary back when she was selected as an add-on delegate:
Harwell said after being elected that "at this point, I'm leaning toward Sen. Clinton." Harwell said she had met Clinton personally and found her to be a "dynamic, dedicated Democratic woman."
Obama has picked up 2.5 (3.5 if Michigan's supers get seated) superdelegates today as well.

I know Ms. Harwell. Asinine sums it up quite nicely.
You are very mature. Also, it's Mrs. Harwell. I know her WAY better than you do. I also saw your post on another website. Do you have some vendetta against her? She is just an American citizen that chose the candidate that she sees as best to run our country. I'm sure you did the same thing. Do you think your choice was "asinine"?
Well, I don't know Ms. Harwell like the commenter says he/she does, but I will stand by the characterization of her stated reasons for endorsement as "asinine". It simply defies logic to say that Hillary has proved she'll be a better candidate against John McCain by winning West Virginia by a large margin, when Barack Obama has won quite a few more states by as large a margin, and those states have a lot more electoral votes at stake than the 5 in West Virginia.
You all took her statement out of context. West Virginia did not finalize her decision to endorse Senator Clinton. She meant that West Virginia proved that Hillary is the candidate that can carry states in November such as West Viriginia. Her reason for endorsing Hillary is like she said, "Hillary has the plans, leadership and experience to deliver real results as President." And yes, I do know her VERY, VERY well, unlike some people that claim to. You can post your negative judgemental comments all you want because that is your right as an American citizen. It isn't going to change anything, though.
Its all well and good that she believes Hillary would be the best President, I don't have a problem with her reasoning on that front, but my only problem is with the "asinine" idea that West Virginia showed anything other than West Virginians like Hillary Clinton; just as the people of Washington, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Virginia, North Carolina, and a whole host of other states, like Barack Obama more.
Insider,
A) No, I don't handle any of the finances...they needed someone in that position, I raised my hand.
B) If she likes, I'll be happy to discuss with Ms. Harwell my thoughts on the theory that West Virginia is an indicator of broad electoral success. seantbr at gmail.com
