Street Theatre Comes to Nashville

I wish there was some sort of bulletin out there to let us know that the PETA freak show was coming to Nashville:

The demonstration, which took place on the street corner of Fourth Avenue North and Church Street, featured two individuals covered in plastic wrap and a red blood-like substance to simulate how PETA says meat is produced and packaged.

“People are appalled at the image of these bloody people wrapped in plastic,” said PETA campaign coordinator Ashley Byrne. “Whether it’s a pig, a chicken or a person, all animals are made out of flesh.

“We’re just asking people who are bothered by the sight of a violent, bloody scene like this to adopt a vegetarian diet.”

Had I know, I would've shown up with a lawn chair and a #2 Combo Meal from McDonalds to watch the festivities.

I'm cool with people doing what they do, but I just can't imagine someone giving up a delicious steak because of a couple hippies wrapped in plastic with ketchup poured over their bodied.

I don't eat pork, but a good cattle slaughter would have been nice. Just down the street from The Palm or Morton's...porterhouse, medium rare! Mmmmm
