DSCC Forgets Tennessee

Of the 17 US Senate seats listed by the DSCC as having a possible chance of swinging towards the Democrats...Tennessee is not among them. Alaska is. Texas is. Even Mississippi is. But Tennessee has been written off by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee led by Chuck Schumer.

This makes it all the more odd that you'd have two Dems fighting for the chance to be, what every else seems to think is, the sacrificial lamb for the Democrats.

(P.S. This will know doubt further piss off members of the Memphis Blogging community who were angry over Schumer's backing of HFJ over Rosalind Kurita in the 2006 Senate Primary)

Thats interesting that they have Texas in the mix and not Tennessee. You can understand Mississippi and Alaska. In the end though I think Alaska is their best shot among the states you listed... that is of course if the GOP doesnt take Stevens out in the primary.

Even more interesting, James Carville, for the DSCC, is sending letters to Tennesseans begging for money. I got mine last week. Here's a quote, emphasis theirs:
"And that's why I'm asking you to join me and get behind the only arm of the Democratic Party focused solely on kicking Republicans out of the Senate -- and it's NOT the DNC. It's the Domocratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and they need your support RIGHT NOW!"
