Nader's Ego Running for President

Ralph Nader is bound and determined to eliminate any and all credibility he once had as an aggressive consumer advocate and champion of sensible Government regulation. In 2004, her received .38% of the vote, or just under 500K. Now, he thinks that this is his year to win? Give me a break.

Of course, its not about his ego, its about his issues...right, but what about Edwards? He endorsed John Edwards back in December, but now thinks the Democrats left running aren't qualified...but beyond anti-corporate rhetoric, what is the difference? He chastises Hillary and Obama for not offering Single-Payer Health care, but neither did Edwards. He criticizes them for not calling for major cuts in military spending, but neither did Edwards. He says they won't reverse our Israeli policies, but I don't recall Edwards jumping on the anti-Zion bandwagon.

So really, why is he running beyond the fact that neither Hillary or Obama are going to spend their entire campaign attacking incorporated businesses?

I'm not worried about his spoiler effect, I think Cynthia McKinney will pull in more votes in the Green Party than he will, but there does get to be a point where he needs to set his ego aside and focus on the possible; like continuing the consumer advocacy fight from issue advocacy arena. Now he's just going to bitch and moan about not being included in the debates, and the only reason why the press will pay any attention to him whatsoever is because he is widely believed to have been a contributing factor to the selection of GWB in 2000.

There should be a widespread perception among the press and Democrats that Florida was lost because the Republican Party rigged the voting machines, and also purged tens of thousands of African-Americans and other Floridians from the voter rolls, because that is what happened. I have at least one personal friend who went to vote and was told that she had moved and was off the rolls. She had not moved.
